What does "Certification Pending" mean?
A:
"Certification Pending" means that Localloop is in the process of evaluating the prospective business but has not yet collected enough customer reviews to issue a Customer Satisfaction Rating. We require an 80% or better Customer Satisfaction Rating based on a minimum of 20 reviews to ensure we have a statistically significant rating of a business's performance and not the opinion of a handful of customers. Additionally, local businesses that want to get certified have a 90 day limit with which to complete the certification process. If a business fails to complete their certification within the 90 day limit, business must wait 180 days to start the processes again. This is to ensure that the business in question, is truly an ethical and accountable business, serious about providing excellence in all aspects required by Localloop.

Q:
Can Localloop or Certified Businesses edit Customer Satisfaction Ratings?
A:
Neither Localloop nor Certified Businesses can edit Customer Satisfaction Ratings posted by our Consumer Members. To ensure the integrity of our ratings, we utilize a proprietary 3-Step review process which combines powerful technology and human reviews to ensure all Customer Satisfaction Ratings meet our guidelines, before they are posted to the website. If the rating is questioned, we will go back to the Certified Business and Consumer Member to answer questions and clarify their experience before posting the rating. In addition, we do not remove Customer Satisfaction Ratings from the website unless the rating, or its author, is found to be in violation of our Terms of Service.

Q:
Does Localloop ever remove a Customer Satisfaction Rating?
A:
Rarely. However, our proprietary 3-Step Rating process which combines powerful technology and human reviews to ensure all Customer Satisfaction Ratings meet our guidelines. However, our Terms of Service specifically details the following reasons for a Customer Satisfaction Rating to be removed: 1) Conflicts of interest: Your feedback should be unbiased and objective. If there's any hint of a conflict, don't post the feedback. For example, owners are prohibited from giving feedback on their own businesses or their competitors, and users shouldn't comment on their current or former employers. 2) Second Hand Experiences: For example, you can't give an auto repair shop a bad rating because your neighbor complained constantly about their squeaky breaks. Your Customer Satisfaction Ratings must be about your personal experiences and nobody else's. 3) Personal attacks: Expressive language is ok, but there's no need for rude or obnoxious behavior. To learn about more things that can get your Customer Satisfaction Rating removed, please visit our Terms of Service for details.

Q:
Can Certified Businesses respond to my Customer Satisfaction Ratings?
A:
Not directly. However, everything about the Localloop community requires transparency, for both the business owner and consumer. If you Rate a Business, the Certified Business may choose to Dispute the Rating. If this happens, the business will dispute the rating and Localloop will contact you directly (not the business) to confirm that you were indeed a “real” customer of the Certified Business. We will ask you to provide us with a receipt, contract, or invoice showing that you purchased the product or service being rated. Once we have concluded our investigation, the rating is either placed or removed depending on the outcome.

Q:
Can I Rate a Business Not listed in Localloop?
A:
